    Day One - Welcome to Scotland's Capital

    Accommodation: Balmoral Hotel & Spa – Executive View Room

    As you arrive into Edinburgh Airport, a member of the Private Chauffeur Scotland team will be in the arrivals hall to welcome and transport you to Edinburgh’s most prestigious address, No.1 Princes Street.

    Edinburgh’s beloved Balmoral Hotel & Spa will be your place to stay for your first two nights. You can use this first day to put your feet up, explore the hidden depths of the city, or take advantage of the spa facilities and exceptional dining options within your hotel.


    Day Two - Walk The Ancient Cobbled Streets

    Accommodation: Balmoral Hotel & Spa – Executive View Room

    After breakfast, you will be met at reception by your guide to embark on a walking tour of the city.  Visiting Edinburgh’s most iconic buildings and attractions: The Royal Mile, St Giles Cathedral, Princes Street Gardens, Calton Hill and the Scott Monument.

    Later you will return to the revered Balmoral Hotel and dine in one of Scotland’s most best restaurants, the Michelin-starred Number One Restaurant. In the evening, you will have the opportunity to put your feet up to relax and look back on your first day of touring in Scotland’s capital.

    Day Three - Scenic Journey to The West Coast

    Loch Lomond, Loch Fyne, Inverary Castle, Lochgilphead, Crinan

    Your private driver will escort you to the beautiful Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, where can soak in the stunning scenery in one of Scotland’s most valued treasures, Loch Lomond. Have your camera at the ready as your driver-guide will make the appropriate stops for you to capture the most incredible photos.

    For lunch we recommend stopping at the Loch Fyne Restaurant, offering fantastic, fresh, local seafood.

    After lunch, the next destination is the beautiful Inveraray Castle. Set on the shores of Loch Fyne, this is one of the earliest examples of Gothic Revival architecture. You will be taken on a tour of the castle and its exquisite gardens where you will become truly inspired by the intricacy of its design.

    You will continue to weave south-west via Rest and Be Thankful’ route, a famous beauty spot 803 ft above sea level.
    This majestic road that you will take next in your journey that will continue  south-west, running between Glen Kinglas and Glen Croe, it highlights some of Scotland’s most spectacular scenery.

    You will eventually approach Lochgilphead, a small town that sits on the banks of Loch Gilp. Here you will have the opportunity to take in its serene surroundings and have a photoshoot before finishing off an adventurous day at the Crinan Hotel. Overlooking Loch Crinan, this charming inn has been accommodating guests for more than 300 years. You will enjoy the beautiful coastal views in the great comfort of the hotel’s warm hospitality.

    Day Four - West Coast Wonderment

    Oban, Castle Stalker, Port Appin, Glencoe, Fort William

    In the morning you will awake to views over Crinan Bay.  After breakfast, you will join your driver and begin the day of touring by transcending northwards up the beautiful west coast of Scotland. Your first stop will be Oban. Known as the capital of the West Highlands, this charming resort town is renowned for its tasty seafood and McCaig’s Tower that looks over the town, providing an excellent opportunity for a photo.

    Your driver will take you northwards to Castle Stalker View, arguably the most beautiful viewpoint in Scotland. Sitting proudly on an isolated rock in the middle of the loch, Castle Stalker provides as much depth of history as breathtaking views.

    For lunch, we recommend the Airds Hotel & Restaurant due to its high quality cuisine that is accompanied by pleasant views of Port Appin.

    After an enjoyable lunch, you will venture north towards perhaps the most spectacular valley in Scotland, Glencoe.

    As a result of volcanic eruptions and glaciers, Glencoe has been carved into a photogenic paradise thanks to its summits, glinting waterfalls and picturesque lochs.

    Next stop is Glen Etive, where you can relive Hollywood moments.  This site featured in James Bond’s Skyfall amongst other movie classics. The pursuit of picturesque scenery continues in the next stop at The Three Sisters in Glencoe, where you will embrace the incredibly lush green valley.

    You will spend the evening in Inverlochy Castle in Fort William. Stretching as far back as the 19th century, this historic hotel sits in the middle of spectacular scenery. Nearby are the ruins of the original castle of Inverlochy, scene of a historic battle in 1641.

    The award-winning Chez Roux restaurant is where you will dine for the evening. After dinner you can retreat to the grandeur of your opulent suite, to finish an eventful day in relaxation.


    Day Five - Highland Beauty

    Glenfinnan Viaduct, Loch Ness, Urquhart Castle, Eilean Donan Castle, Skye

    After a leisurely breakfast, your private driver will escort you to the Glenfinnan Viaduct viewpoint. This is 100 feet high and the Jacobite steam train crosses over it from Fort William and Mallaig. Most famous for its inclusion in the second and third Harry Potter films, the Hogwarts Express crossed it on its journey to the school.

    The journey continues north. Your driver will take you to Drumnadrochit where you will loop around Loch Ness. This is also the home of the Loch Ness monster, so keep on your toes and have your camera ready in case he makes an appearance!

    Next you will visit arguably one of the most beautiful castles in the Highlands, Urquhart Castle. Through its grand old age and scattered remains, you will be given an insight into medieval life. As well as learning more of its past, you can enjoy the amazing views over Loch Ness.

    Soon after your driver will continue to take you westwards to visit Eilean Donan Castle. It is located on a small tidal island, uniquely placed where three sea lochs meet. Its idyllic location and rolling hills is something quite special that all tourists appreciate.

    After a full day of touring, you will travel across the Isle of Skye Bridge to Kinloch Lodge. This is at the south of the island and is a luxurious family-run 5-star hotel. Kinloch Lodge resides on the shores of Loch Na-Dal where its island setting is surrounded by majestic scenery. You will enjoy a fine evening of relaxation accompanied by excellent service from the hotel.

    Day Six - The Magic of Skye

    You will start the day with a tour of the Isle of Skye where you will first stop off at the Fairy Pools. Here, sparkling clear water flows over the ancient rocks and evokes a sense of peace and permanence.

    Afterwards you will be taken to the Talisker Distillery, the only one in the Skye, and opened in 1830. Sitting by the shores of Loch Harport, the distillery enjoys stupendous views of the Cullin Hills, making it a prime spot to take in the scenery with a fine dram of peaty gold. During the tour you will gain an insight into Talisker’s history and of course, at the end be rewarded with a dram.

    We recommend that you spend lunch at the Loch Bay Restaurant. Boasting one Michelin star, the inn is described as a contemporary Scottish restaurant with classic French influence. If you thought that the succulent food from this fantastic restaurant would be the highlight of the day then you would be forgiven – but it only goes upwards from here.

    After lunch, you will continue your tour of Skye to your next stop, Dunvegan Castle. Stunning scenery has been the running theme of this trip and you will be glad to know that this will continue! You will enjoy a tour of the castle where you will learn more about the residence that has been home to the chiefs of the Clan MacLeod since the 13th century.

    You will head next to Totternish Peninsula to visit the Old Man of Storr, renowned for its steep rocky face and surrounded by picturesque landscape. Both avid hillwalkers and photographers visit here to experience the awe-inspiring scenery.

    Your driver will then take you on a driving route that is unrivalled.  Stopping at Kilt Rock, The Quiraing and The Fairy Glen, you will see some of the most spectacular scenery Scotland has to offer.

    From here you will soon retire back to Kinloch Lodge Hotel to relax for the remainder of the evening.

    Day Seven - A Journey Through Speyside & The Cairngorms

    Clava Cairns, Glenlivet Distillery, Aberdeen

    After breakfast, your private driver will take you on a scenic drive from Skye to the east of the Highlands.  Your first stop of the day will be a visit to the ancient Clava CairnsThis Bronze Age cemetery complex is approximately 4,000 years old, making it one of the oldest well-preserved sites in Scotland. It is situated within a tranquil wooded area where you can enjoy its peaceful surroundings.

    You will then continue to ‘The Capital of the Highlands’, Inverness, where you will be escorted by your private chauffeur through this traditional Scottish city and enjoy the beautiful views of the River Ness. Our recommendation for lunch would be The Rocpool Reserve Hotel, in its acclaimed Chez Roux restaurant, where guests are able to dine in modern elegance.

    Glenlivet Distillery Tour
    You are in for a treat here, as you are about to embark on a journey in to one of Scotland’s most famous distilleries. The tour offers you an insightful introduction to the whole process of whisky-making as well as enabling you to see the racked casks that contain their maturing malts. At one point during the tour, you will be given the invitation to toast George Smith, the founder of the distillery.

    After your golden whisky experience, you will be transported to the Marcliffe Hotel in Aberdeenshire by your driver. This exquisite five-star hotel is family-friendly and has developed a reputation for going above and beyond the expectations of their guests.     Day Eight - Departure

    And so now is the time when your magical journey across Scotland comes to an end. We wish you all the best and hope that your adventure here will last long in the memory. The last part of the trip will involve your chauffeur escorting you to Aberdeen Airport, where you can say your final goodbyes.
